Burning Man year numero dos and I can't believe its over, or I guess its only just begun.
To think of my 5 days in the desert of Black Rock City, NV, I can only sit with a smile and say holy shit did that really just happen again, did I really just see that again, did I really just hang out with some crazy people in the desert for a week and not even think about leaving once AGAIN.
Yea I did.
And a big part of me has yet to return...
What I saw this year that I didn't see last year was everything. No not really but last year was one big week of wide eyes and jaw dropping visuals that I didn't even really enjoy it. It was so crazy and extreme that I really couldn't quite grasp what exactly what was going on, not that I expected much. This year I really embraced what exactly burning man is all about, and I don't mean riding bikes naked or crazy erotica or sensual healing or a bunch of hippies in the desert doing drugs or what you may perceive burning man to be. I mean the absolute communal aspect of pure happiness and the idea that no matter who you are or where you come from, you are here and you are apart of this world because you want to be here. The idea that community means everything and that helping and sharing with one another is the most important part of living and is ultimately happiness.
"Happiness is only real when shared"
Evolution, to think the human core evolved from a fungi (or at least that is what some crazy kid tried to explain to me while waiting for my ticket) and in some unbelievable way that I can't quite explain I sort of believe him. Can't wait til next year!

"...I love not man the less, but nature more."
